What is FlightPlan?
FlightPlan is GameFlight’s installment payment mechanism that allows backers to split the cost of their pledge across multiple automatic payments. It is not a loan or any form of financial service. No credit is issued, no interest is charged, and no third-party financing is involved.
Definitions

GameFlight – an online pledge management platform owned and operated by Into the Unknown Sp. z o.o.. The company is registered at Aleja Grunwaldzka 103A, 80-244 Gdańsk, Poland, and operates under VAT ID: 9571096989. GameFlight provides tools and services to manage crowdfunding pledges, process payments, and facilitate order fulfillment for backers and creators.

Backer – a GameFlight user who supports a project financially, often receiving rewards based on their contribution; a buyer.

Pledge – the amount of money a Backer commits to a project, charged either immediately or at the end of the fundraising period.

Project – a campaign to raise funds for a specified goal, managed by an individual or organization.

Creator – a user that creates and manages Projects.

Installment – one of the scheduled payments constituting part of the total order amount.

Active Installments – an order that has been partially paid, with future installments pending.

Fully Paid – an order where all required payments have been completed.
-
On Hold – an order with one or more failed payments, temporarily frozen until resolution.
Commitment
By choosing FlightPlan, the Backer agrees to:

Complete all scheduled installment payments;

Maintain a valid payment method on file until the order is fully paid;

Full responsibility for ensuring that all payments are completed on time;

Accept the terms outlined in FlightPlan Installment Payment Policy as well as in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Installment Schedule

The project creator defines the maximum number of installments available, based on the project timeline and the need to collect full payment before production or fulfillment begins.

The first installment is charged immediately upon order placement.

Remaining installments are charged automatically on a fixed schedule (typically every 30 days).

Buyers may choose to pay off one or more future installments early at any time via their Gameflight account dashboard.

All payments are securely processed by Stripe Inc. For details, see Stripe’s Privacy Policy and Gameflight’s Privacy Policy
If a scheduled payment fails:

The system will automatically retry the payment up to three times, every 48 hours.

If all retries fail, the order status changes to “On Hold” and cannot proceed until the payment issue is resolved.

A visible banner will appear in the buyer’s dashboard with instructions for resolution.
Orders are not shipped or fulfilled until the full payment is completed.
Changing Payment Details

Backers may update their payment method at any time through Stripe Inc.

Changes must be made before the next scheduled payment is due to ensure processing.
Data Protection

Payment data is securely handled by Stripe Inc, which serves as the data processor.

Gameflight does not store full credit card details or sensitive payment information.

Personal data processed for payment purposes includes:

Name

Billing address

Partial payment method identifiers

Transaction history
All data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws. For details, see Stripe’s Privacy Policy and GameFlight’s Privacy Policy.
Refunds and Cancellations
If a backer wishes to cancel an order paid via FlightPlan:

A refund request must be submitted through customer support at [email protected]

A 9% processing fee applies to all refunded payments made through GameFlight.

For orders originally placed on Kickstarter and imported to GameFlight, a 10% processing fee applies.
-
Refunds are only available before the order enters fulfillment or production.

Processing fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.
Legal notice
FlightPlan is not a loan, nor does it constitute any form of financial service.
By choosing FlightPlan, the buyer agrees to divide the total cost of their order into several scheduled payments. This payment option is a convenience offered by Gameflight to provide more flexibility in managing large purchases - not a financial product.
Specifically:

No funds are lent, advanced, or disbursed to the buyer.

Gameflight does not charge interest, financing fees, or late fees.

There is no credit agreement, no credit assessment, and no reporting to credit bureaus.

Goods are only delivered once the full amount has been paid.
For these reasons, FlightPlan does not fall under any consumer loan or credit regulations under EU law, Polish law, or similar frameworks.
The buyer remains fully responsible for completing all installment payments. Failure to do so may result in the order being suspended or cancelled, as outlined in this policy.
