Hi Spacers, time flies when you’re exploring The Shepherd! We’re officially entering the final week of the Enormity Kickstarter campaign. With just seven days left, now’s the time to rally together, unlock those stretch goals, and make this adventure even bigger and better!

By the way, how are you feeling after yesterday’s Grand Progression Spotlight? We hope it answered some of your burning questions and gave you a deeper look into the heart of Enormity. It’s always exciting to share more about what makes this game so special!

For today, we’re keeping it short and sweet, but don’t worry - this ship isn’t slowing down! The coming days are packed with surprises we’re sure you’ll love!

$ 800 000: NEW LOCATION! THE NEEDLE!

Wow, Spacers! You've done it again! Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve reached $800,000, unlocking a brand-new location: The Needle!

Located in the bow section of the Shepherd, the colloquially named ‘Needle’ is a long narrow sensor cluster. A lot of valuable intel can be gathered here, if one comes with the right equipment – and doesn’t mind the new residents.

Locations are the living beating heart of Enormity, as they expand the boundaries of our open world, creating more intricate layouts and allowing for many more playthrough permutations!

DAY 9 SURPRISE! THE NI-1 NOOSPHERE INTERFACE SUIT!

The NI-1 Noosphere Interface is a late game suit, made from the wreckage of the Preacher spider loader, and some undisclosed alien technology. Originally created to interface with the AAN (Automa Autonomous Network), to modify the behavior of all VI units connected to the Shepherd’s utility network, NI-1 exhibits strange, concerning, but possibly extremely powerful properties.

We've chosen the concept to the right to be our NI-1, but we had plenty more; what do you think? Which one is the best NI-1?

In short, the NI-1 seems to be taping to something else beside AAN. The programs coded to modify automated unit behavior – in game terms, to influence VI Blip movement and VI Intruder protocols – have a limited effect on biological Intruders. Even Spacers are not totally immune.

Suits make half of your character build, as not only do they provide Rubicon bonuses, Vitality Levels and unique abilities, they also influence how many Gear slots you have. Each new Suit comes with a miniature or standee, as well as an Oversized Suit card.

Oh, and here's a sneak peek of something else, the Exocage Suit, not quite ready for field testing... do you know which Intruder tech it incorporates?

DICREET SECRETS SPOTLIGHT!

A museum of natural xeno history...

We’ve hinted (sic!) in places that Enormity will be full of secrets. Returning ATO backers can attest, and KF backers will soon find out, that our games are built on secrets: secret codes, ciphers, secret languages, secret paragraphs, secret battles, cards, sheets and endings.

Enormity will be no different. Our mainstay is hidden paragraph numbers – a number written on the control room wall of a Location may lead you to a secret event, or even a secret quest. These numbers can appear on any game component, Location pages, Course cards, Gear, AI, BP, Intruder Sheets, you name it.

What’s that? An article about goats? In the middle of the Enormity update? Looks like Maria must have misclicked while writing rest of the update... Oh well, carry on with your reading!

Sometimes you will get partial numbers and will need to find the missing half. Sometimes the numbers will be provided in a form of a puzzle. Sometimes you will have to decode a whole alien language to get to the bottom of these secrets!

Of course, the secrets don’t end on story paragraphs and hidden interaction. We’ll have special stickers – like secret rooms or passages – that you will put on Location pages, and possibly other game components, to modify them. We’ll have secret Gear obtainable only in a specific way, and secret boss encounters.

Oh, and the secrets won’t only be hidden in the game box itself. In the 21st century, we have the miracle of the world wide web to take our secrets and puzzles to a whole new level – as the Expansion to ATO may already attest ;)

Finally, there will be other types of secret. But, if I told you about them, they wouldn’t be secret anymore, would they?

PS.

There’s several secrets in the TTS demo itself! Secret rooms, passages, Mythos book codes and Xenocript ciphers for you to find and piece together!

And that’s all for today, Spacers! Stay tuned - there’s plenty more coming your way soon!
