Well, Spacers, we made it. The Enormity rulebook is live!
As promised, we're giving you access to the full rules so you can finally sit down and see how everything comes together. Before you open the file, though, one very important disclaimer: what you're getting today is absolutely NOT the final rulebook.
The document is currently in a very raw, working form. It has not yet gone through the final language editing and proofreading pass either, so you may still come across typos, awkward phrasing, or wording that needs polishing. The rules are there, but the final graphic design, layout, illustrations, diagrams, examples and all the visual work that will turn it into the actual Enormity rulebook come later. So please don't judge this one by its looks just yet. ;)
Rather than keeping everything behind closed doors until the final layout is finished, you can now read it and help us catch anything that could be clearer before we lock the text for production. Keeping the rulebook in this simple working format also makes it much easier for us to implement changes as we go. If you spot an error, an unclear rule, or something that simply needs a better explanation, we can fix it directly in the text without having to constantly rebuild the final layout around every change.
Read and Discuss!
Alongside the document, we've opened dedicated channels on our Discord Server for the community review.
That's where we'd like to keep the feedback in one place, so our team can follow the discussions and investigate anything you find.
At this stage, we're especially interested in unclear wording, inconsistencies, missing information etc. Enormity is a very large game with a lot of moving parts, so this kind of feedback is incredibly useful. Of course, we'll be reading everything, but please keep in mind that community review doesn't mean every suggestion will result in a rules change. The game itself has been through a lot of development and testing already; right now, our main goal is making sure the rules communicate it as clearly and consistently as possible.
What Happens Next?
We'll be collecting your feedback while continuing to work on the document ourselves. Anything that needs clarification or correction will go through another pass, and once we're happy with the text, the rulebook can move into its final graphic design and layout stage.
The final version will be uploaded to our website when it’s done, before fulfillment begins.
That's when this rather... utilitarian document will start looking like something you'd actually expect to find inside the Enormity box.
For now, though, the rules are yours. Make some coffee and cancel your evening plans. The rulebook is HERE!!!!
Happy reading, Spacers!
P.S. On a completely unrelated note, a very nice surprise arrived at the ITU office today. Our friends at Rebel Wolves sent us a Collector’s Edition of their new RPG, The Blood of Dawnwalker. And we have to say, the Collector's Edition is seriously impressive!
Huge thank you to the Rebel Wolves team for the gift! It's always great to see a Polish studio bringing something this ambitious to life. We'll definitely be playing, and we're keeping our fingers crossed for tomorrow's launch. Good luck, folks!
